When the body speaks

22nd & 23rd May 2027

What if a symptom isn’t only something to get rid of, but something trying to be heard? Dreambody work, developed by Arnold Mindell, founder of Process-Oriented Psychology, begins with the symptom itself. Rather than rushing to silence it, we become curious. What does it feel like? Does it have a shape, a rhythm, a movement, an image or an impulse? What happens if we stay with it and gently amplify what is already there? Mindell noticed that symptoms, dreams, gestures and feelings can tell the same story in different ways. When we follow a symptom with care, something unexpected can emerge – an emotion, an image, a memory, or a part of ourselves that has not yet found words. The body becomes an active partner in the therapeutic conversation. This lively two-day workshop brings together Gestalt and Process-Oriented Psychology. Through teaching, demonstrations and plenty of hands-on practice, you’ll explore ways of working that bring greater immediacy, creativity and depth to your therapeutic practice.
